Pat is celebrating her 40 year anniversary with UDA on July 19! In the summer of 1978, UDA was just 18 years old and the lab only had 3 employees.
Tell us a little about yourself- I have lived in Phoenix, AZ since I was 4 years old. I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Microbiology. I am married to Dan and have 2 married children and 2 grandchildren with a third grandchild due in July.
What is your job at UDA- I am a microbiologist in the laboratory. I have worked in all areas of the lab.
What part of your job do you like the most- At UDA, things are always changing. Test requirements and methods change, products change, facilities change and people change.
Before working at UDA, did you have any interesting or unusual jobs?– I worked at “Wicks and Sticks”, a store that sold candles at Metrocenter Mall.
What kinds of hobbies or interests do you have outside of work? I like to hike, cross-stich, read and listen to audio books. At my church, I am on the committee to support mission projects -both local and international. Later in July, I am going to Thailand to work with a missionary physician doing mobile medical clinics in little
villages.
What is one thing you can’t live without?- Most any dessert (Don’t tell Sandra!)
